OdexV3 Company History
Odex has been building software for the OOH, Real Estate, Airport, Mall, Retail and Local Authority sectors for over twelve years. In that time we have been privileged to work with clients in 35 countries. Our latest software offering, OdexV3 represents an amalgamation of profound insights into the industry, and a keen understanding of the business logic and process flows unique to these industries. We have found that in deploying OdexV3 our clients are now benefiting from a huge body of knowledge contained within the software, and in the core deployment team that has been together since late 1999.
Odex began life in 1998 as an internal development project for a Cape Town based media and outdoor advertising company, Azisa Media. It soon became obvious that the demand for an online asset management and GPS mapping product was widespread. This led to the establishment of an independent company, Azilla Systems which was created to service this market.
Azilla focused on developing two bespoke products, AssetAccelerator and MapMetrics, which soon found good market traction and became the default asset management products for the Out-of-Home industry in Southern Africa. Towards the end of 2006 Azilla Systems was acquired by Middle East investors and renamed Odex Middle East. At the time a decision was taken to review the entire technology platform and combine AssetAccelerator and MapMetrics into a single Windows and Web product known as OdexV3.
The Odex team has spent a significant amount of time designing an incredibly robust and scalable architecture, and incorporating the most up-to-date technologies.
